 I got a horrible sunburn, should I be concerned? (Pictures!)? I had band camp last week, and I wore SPF 50-60 all week long, and I reapplied it about 4 times a day. Each day I was outside in the sun for about 5 hours, marching, playing, etc. I play the french horn, so the UV rays may have been reflected from my instrument onto my forehead? The last two days I wore a hat, because I noticed I was starting to get horrible blisters on my forehead. Ugh, anyways, it looks like this: (Just took this like two minutes ago) http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii90/emilyfilomena/Photo41-1.jpg I have been applying comfrey oil to my forehead (a mixture of olive oil and comfrey leaves) and I have applied neosporin, aloe, and I haven't been touching it or scrubbing it or any of that. I'm worried it's worse than I thought and maybe I should give the doctors a call, this is the worse sun burn I have ever had! does it hurt? itch? burn? i'm wondering if it is a combination of sunburn and heat rash. I can't imagine that you were wearing 50SPF 4x a day that you'd burn that bad. Might be an allergic reaction to something. If it doesn't seem better tomorrow, I'd go to the doctor. try cold compresses too |
